J5 Family Farms Corn Festival

We just had our very first appearance as a vendor at a festival, and we had a blast! This past Saturday, we attended J5 Family Farms First Annual Corn Festival out in Wiggins, Mississippi. It was a beautiful 85-degree day, with a light breeze that helped in the afternoon. We were one of about twenty vendors and had a great time. The festival had live music performed by Bottom Line, and food vendors, including Elissa’s Lemonade, Maddy’s Treats, and Pete’s Cart of Snacks. Our neighbor vendors were Mama D's Snack Shack and Tutti Fruitti Boutique. We didn't have a chance to meet everyone, but those we did get to chat with were very nice.
Doing things for the first time can be really intimidating, but we felt so welcomed and had a great time. It was an exceptional way to jump into the vending side of our business. We also got the opportunity to learn a lot! From setting up time management to having a backup plan for accepting payments when technology fails. And while this event was slammed with customers, it was the perfect place for learning and building confidence. We are so ecstatic and looking forward to the coming weeks and the new opportunities each event will bring.
A huge thank you to those who purchased from us! Those were our very first sales and made us feel like we were on cloud nine! And to everyone who stopped by our booth and looked at what we had displayed, that means just as much as a purchase. Sometimes, things get a little muddled when all the feedback has been coming from family and friends. It's refreshing to have strangers share their thoughts!
